Golf for a good cause

Friday at the Windsor Golf Course, a golf tournament will be held to raise funds for the Forestville Youth Park. It is one of few privately-owned nonprofit parks in the Western United States.
The Park was established in 1960 by a group of Forestville residents concerned about the lack of safe places for teens and young adults to spend time. The start-up committee had 17 members. They set their first fund-raising event for Memorial Day Weekend, a chicken bar-b-que and carnival. The BBQ has become a successful and fun annual event.

We see this as a long term process. Come to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors' meeting on September 18 for their possible approval on the Forestville Town Square project.
